We’ve Got Layers, We’ve Got Range

This project is for educational purposes. Artists and institutions are not formally or officially associated.

Background & Design Brief

We’ve Got Layers; We’ve Got Range is a survey show of collage designed for gallery 915 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, featuring the works of prominent artists working in the medium: traditionally, digitally, sculpturally, and auditorily.

The artists chosen have works on a spectrum divided into two tonalities (blue: We’ve Got Style; and red: We’ve Got Range) and span generations. Each artist was selected for their significant influence on collage.

The goal of this project was to create an intimate show that highlights the work of non-white male artists who utilize collage as a crucial part of their practice.
